How does a survey visit differ from a design consultation visit?
​
The survey visit consists of an assessment of the costumer's needs and budget. Following the survey visit the designer makes a bid to the client for an interior design plan package.
​
The design consultation visit begins with surveying the space and obtaining information about the client's requirements and desires. The client can consult with the designer about materials and colours as well as obtain tips on how to carry out the plans. The interior architect brings colour charts and mood boards to the visit, from which the client can get inspiration. Following the consultation visit the designer prepares a bid for a design package for the client.
